David Rimmer
David Rimmer advises high net worth families and individuals on their business aviation interests. Until recently, he was president of a leading aircraft charter, management, maintenance and FBO provider in the northeast.
David began his business aviation more than a decade ago, following a successful 25-year career in media, much of which was spent working alongside frequent business jet users. He is a member of the NBAA Corporate Aviation Management Committee (CAMC) and serves on NATA's Air Charter Committee.

“Colliding with Death at 37,000 feet and Living”
Embraer Legacy 600 had mid air collision with Boeing 737-800 over the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil – there were no survivors on the Boeing – passengers in the Legacy survived.
This year at our Annual Aviation Leadership Breakfast some of our regular attendees will share their remarkable story of survival after an almost head-on collision with a Boeing 737-800 airliner at 37,000 feet over the Amazon.
Below are pictures of their aircraft, an Embraer Legacy 600, being accepted new from the manufacturer, the wing and winglet in flight before the collision, and the wing, winglet, and horizontal stabilizer after the collision.
